ASSISTED VETERINARY CARE
There are times when you as the
owner cannot be there to take care of your equine family member when illness or
injury develops or a surgery is needed. The initial veterinary diagnosis and
treatment is done by your veterinarian
.. but what about the after care?
Can you afford to take off from your job to nurse your horse back to health?
Doesn't your equine companion deserve the best chance for a full recovery?
Phantom Brook Farm may have a solution for you and your equine companions.
Medical care plus quality TLC
. What could be a better combination for
recovery? Knowing the extraordinary reputation of the facility and
owner/operator Marilyn Miller Heath's experience as a veterinary
nurse/technician, several veterinarians suggested that we offer specialized
care for injured or post-surgical horses since many horse owners are unable to
do so. To answer the growing need, an assisted care facility was planned,
constructed and is now operating with veterinary referrals from both New Jersey
and out-of state practices. We work directly with your own veterinarian
and/or equine surgical facility to assure that each activity is performed as
prescribed. Progress reports and clinical data are communicated directly to the
attending veterinarian to assure timely treatment changes and veterinary
on-site visitations. Marilyn also maintains communication with the owner to
apprise them of their horse's progress. To complete the oversight, we live on
the premises, therefore assuring 24/7 presence. Patient referrals are
received from any licensed equine veterinarian. Owners are welcome to visit the
facilities to assist in the decision making with their own veterinarian. After
admission, owners are welcome to come and visit their horse during the time
spent here.
